Congratulations to Birmingham City Council on receiving the World Green Building Council Government Leadership Award for the Birmingham Energy Savers initiative.

Birmingham City Council has received the prestigious World Green Building Council’s ‘Urban Retrofit Award’ for its work in delivering renewable energy and carbon reduction measures to Birmingham’s building stock through the Birmingham Energy Savers initiative.

The Awards ceremony was hosted by the World Green Building Council in Durban, South Africa on 5th December 2011. This inaugural award was accepted on behalf of Birmingham City Council and Birmingham Energy Savers by Dame Nicola Brewer, the British High Commissioner in South Africa. The Award ceremony took place as part of the UN Climate Change Conference.

G. Purchase Construction Ltd is proud to be associated with the excellent and ground-breaking work being carried out by the Birmingham Energy Savers Team. The Company is currently delivering phase 2 of the BES Programme having been appointed as the sole installer in this £35 Million framework.
